Why do I give away things for free?

I believe that people are good by nature and will return the favor if I help them first.  Because of this I share my articles and plugins for free.  I trust my users to make an appropriate donation if my articles or plugins have helped them in anyway.

Why donate?

• Articles and plugins do not write themselves, people do.  It takes a great deal of time and money to design, develop, and maintain this blog and all of its offerrings.  Without advertisement and donation income, the this blog and all of its offerings could stall or even disappear.
• All my projects are released under GPL and is available absolutely free of charge.
• Each person who donate $25 or more will get premium support for all of my plugins.
• You can earn a backlink to your site on the plugin page with a certain minimum donation (varies per plugin).  These pages are ranked between PR3-PR5 (so far) depending on the plugin.  You can find out more about this on each plugin page under the “donations” section.

Is it mandatory?

No. Donations are in no way mandatory.  After all, they are donations! They are just a means of saying thank you for my work.  They are great motivation to continue any development.

If you do not want to donate, here are some other ways to support me:

• Purchase advertisement on this site.
• Link to or write about one of my articles or plugins.
• Rate my plugins 5-stars in the WordPress plugin directory.
