I did not change my number but the address change saved me at least $5.70 because I no longer pay a "city tax". I read elsewhere you had to change your number but that was not the case for me. I work for AT&T and I would love to Refer you to them if you need to renew a contract, order new cell service, land line phone, TV Dsl, voicemail, custom calling features-anything then I have an exclusive number for you, no call tree, no long wait! There is NO such thing as Tax Free. The states that have no income tax get you elsewhere.
