Released SEO No Duplicate Version 0.2

Canonical Custom FieldSEO No Duplicate WordPress plugin version 0.2 is here!

What’s new this release?

This version of SEO No Duplicate has two enhancements.

  1. Previously the plugin only supported automatically setting canonical URLs for only post pages. I know… crazy right? Thanks to Joost De Valk’s Canonical WordPress plugin, I was able to implement canonical links for all types of WordPress pages.
  2. The little icing on the cake. This version lets you manually override any post’s or page’s canonical URL by assigning any URL to that post/page custom field named “canonical”. (Thanks Matt Harzewski for the suggestion!)

Where do I download, file bugs, make feature requests, comments, and suggestions?

0.2… Would that make it a beta? 🙂

Nice to see you've implemented my suggestion, as well as Yoast's. I may have to move to this instead of the code snippet you had in your original post about Canonical URLs.

    🙂 I like the x.x.x version system.
1st digit for major architectural changes
    2nd digit for enhancements
    3rd digit for bug fixes

That's what I use too, but I normally start at 1.0.0. Then I up the second digit for the major releases, the third digit for bug fixes. The first digit will change after a "major architectural change" or when the second digit surpasses 9, whichever happens first.
